Some things to bear in mind when requesting a booking
We transport the cart in long wheel base, hi-roof van which is approx 18+ feet long. We need at least 15 feet behind the van to unload the cart on ramps. For small private events the van can then be moved and parked elsewhere once unloaded, this should be a secure area fairly close to the site. For large events such as fetes/fairs etc then we need to have the van preferably behind the cart as extra stock is held inside along with a back-up freezer.
What area is needed?
For large outside events (shows, fetes, etc) we require the van to be behind the cart as we hold additional stock and sundries in the van and would run a generator to power the cart and freezer so the area would be a minimum of 20 feet x 20 feet.
For outdoor weddings and private functions etc, the distance from parking to the working area has to be as minimal as possible with no gaps narrower than 4 feet and NO steps (however small) or slopes, ideally a flat paved route. We also require a power supply, a 13amp socket is sufficient. For outside events, if it looks like it may rain we will erect a 10 x 10, we will also use this it is very sunny to help shade the ice cream.

For indoor events, again we need a short route from parking area, with no steps or slopes and no doorways less than 4 feet wide. A 13amp power supply would be required, and an area of approx 8 feet by 8 feet minimum.
The cart is very heavy and although fairly easy to move in a straight line it is awkward to turn sharp corners.
Please make sure it will fit where you require it. The actual cart measures approx 4 feet across and 8 feet long, the canopy height is approx 8 feet.
How long does it take to set up?
It takes approx an hour and a half to two hours to get set up and ready to serve, The freezer in the cart has to be given time to freeze to the corrrect temperature before we can add the ice cream, the set up time also varies depending on distance from van to set up point and may be a bit longer. It also takes about an hour to pack away. We prefer to arrive before your guests and have everything ready for when they arrive, so please make us aware of times you wish us to work from and to.

We supply the cart with two staff and a selection of real dairy ice cream (beechdean/Lakenham Creamery/Criterion Ices) with a selection of luxury waffle cones, Chocolate flakes, fudge spirals.

Ice cream flavours are the choice of the host if the hire is for a private function, although we offer a discount on any bookings made where we bring along our selection of flavours from stock.

Prices are based on location and the number of ice creams you would like served. For example if you were having a 100 people expected at your event, we would price for 100 single scoop ice creams (unless asked otherwise) from our experience there will always be those who won't want an ice cream but this is made up by those who have two or maybe three so numbers usually even out. And as we don't want to run out we need to know how many you would expect to be served so that we bring enough stock.

If you decide to go ahead with the booking then we request a non refundable deposit of 10% to secure the date, with 40% payable 6 weeks before the event and the final 50% 2 weeks before the event. Bookings are usually around 2-3 hours and can be any time between midday and finishing no later than 10.00pm. We can be a bit flexible on this so please ask.
For fetes, country shows etc where the public are attending and we would therefore sell per ice cream then please let us know the location, date, times, and crowd attendance and we will get back to you with availability.

We are taking provisional bookings for 2009, deposits won't be required until October 2008, so please ask.
